I have heard many shocking stories from many of my friends about moving companies. But luckily my experience with a mover named A plus van lines was marvelous. I appreciated the way they completed the whole process. They came on time, took inventory and then began working. They were quite helpful. I got many important suggestions from them. Their prices were very rational as well. I love this moving company and strongly recommend them.

Do NOT ever use this company for your long distance move. They are very shady. I thought it would be a good company since they are based out of my home town, Des Moines, IA. I was planning a move to Montgomery, Alabama and they provided me with a reasonable quote. I decided to use them since they were local. As soon as I agreed to the quote, nothing went as stated. The move cost me twice as much and it was an extremely stressful move. I could never get in contact with anyone at the company to have my questions answered. The so-called local numbers went to either the sales office or someone on the east coast. As far as the actual move it was a total nightmare. I was never given the opportunity to review anything as they were always in a hurry and wouldn't let me. For the delivery I was told it would be an additional $250.00 to move my belongings from the truck to our storage unit because it was more than 75 feet. No legitimate moving company will charge you for that. Unless I paid it he refused to take my belongings off his truck. Luckily I had people who were looking out for me and I ended up not having to pay this. But just to be clear the mover only put my belongings on the sidewalk. Again, I stress no legitimate mover will do this! I ended up hiring to local men to move my belongings to my storage unit (for a lot less)! This is a very untrustworthy company and they know they have you over a barrel as soon as your belongings are on their truck!

You deserve my praises. Considering the adorable relocation services you offered me, I have every reason to thank you. You were very patient with me during the relocation. I had so many suggestions and you factored them in. You were willing to incorporate my ideas during the movement. Also, you were willing to help me with arrangements of the house. You left when my house was in order and perfect condition. When anyone is seeking for relocation services, I will refer them hoping they will be able to access similar services.

Atlantic Van Lines

I would not recommend this moving company, the final bill was higher than originally quoted, they say they charge according to actual weight but it is not true they charge according to the inventory list you provide them. Truck load is not even physically weighed, they charge according to their estimated weight shown in their inventory list format. I was pretty sure my belongings weighed less than 3000 lbs and they charged for 4370 lbs. Some of my belongings were broken and damaged and one of my bed frames is missing.

Submitted a claim more than 2 weeks ago and I have not heard from the manager.

I would not move with this company again, I would not recommend a friend to move with them, and I do not recommend you to use them for your own move. I've incurred hundreds of dollars of damage from their mishandling of items in my move and have not been reimbursed for any of it.

I recently moved across the country, from Virginia to California. After researching many companies and getting price quotes, I finally scheduled my move with Future Van Lines. The team in Virginia did show up on time and were courteous and quick loading the truck. However, it became clear in California when the truck was unloaded that the initial team did not take care of my items in terms of wrapping and loading. Damaged items were:

- Broken Desk and Hutch

This was improperly packed for cross-country transit. The movers on the California end even said that. Many book boxes were packed on the desk, so the weight caused the desk to collapse and break. It was packed with book boxes to the ceiling.

-Broken Glass on Large Frame

This item was packed by the movers in their specific Picture Box and the sheet of glass was completely shattered.

-Broken Chest Drawer

Packed by movers and arrived with broken drawers.

-Damaged Tall Dresser

Packed by movers and arrived with a broken off knob and bent knob.

-Stained Couch

Packed by movers and arrived with blue and black stains on the linen. There is color damage all over the couch.

All of these items were packed and loaded by the movers. Despite filing a claim form, they have yet to reimburse me for any of these damages. They dropped the bed frame on the floor which badly damaged the brand new wooden floor. We are the first tenants so the damage is obvious. They were eager to leave before the job was finished, including leaving the couch and kitchen table disassembled. I had to persuade them to stay and help me.

Because it was so late, there was no chance for us to review each and every item/box before they wanted to leave. However, they did have time on their way out to ask us if we knew where they could buy drugs in the area. No joke. They actually asked that. In addition they tried to mark the costs higher on my contract vs their contract and tried to require me to pay in cash, essentially asking me to forge paperwork so they could pocket the difference.

The claim form states that I will have written confirmation from them within 30 days, but it has been over 120 days since I sent it and I have not received anything back from them. Since then I have emailed three times, and called twice to follow up. I left voicemails for our representative, Seth, on both calls, yet I have no response.

Helvetica Moving is a terrifically stressful event, but that stress should not continue months after you have moved in to your new house or apartment. Using Future Van Lines as our movers resulted in broken pieces, damaged floors, and months long headaches. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Throughout my last step, this incredible Mover was just outstanding. With a superb quote, they were extremely quick to call me up. The movers got here as guaranteed at 10:00 am. They didn't throw away time loading my points as well as packing them. All of it went so efficiently. They additionally supplied in a timely manner as well as took a trip excellently via all my valuables. I rarely see such effectiveness. I was searching for something negative, however I could not discover it.

Ongoing and Unresolved

Jason was my contact at ASM and this ongoing process. There were †several phone calls and emails back and forth with Jason. †

During all this correspondence there were many questions we ask Jason, the ASMC representative. Included in these repeated Q&A calls were my specific questions ie who packs what items and cost, who drives and delivers our belongings to relocation state, cost, insurance, and....

I was informed by Jason that I would receive white glove service, would have the same driver deliver that picks up, and cost would remain under the minimum and at our quoted price of ......

There was no time during multiple phone calls and emails that Jason disclosed to me that my belongings would be contracted out to the lowest trucking bidder, would take longer than 3 days after the pick up, and be piggy backed on semis that included numerous other deliveries across the country.†

After being influenced and convinced by Jason to use American Standard Moving I paid the required down payment to ASMC and received a contract via email. I chose to pack my own belongings but was told to have the mattress cover, TV packing , and protective bubble wrap available and the movers would secure everything I could not get alone.†

I was given a pick up day of February the 8th. Arrangements that included flights, time off work, and re arranged physician appointments were made to ensure the apartment was packed and ready for pickup date, February 8th 2019.†

On the 8 th I was informed the date was postponed to February 11th 2019 due to ď truck break down ď, this was the first of many unexplained blunders that caused me to rearrange scheduling and incurring additional cost by ASMC. Finally, on February 14 th I was contacted by Mike at informing the pick up would be in the morning. The morning of the 15 th Mike called my wife, asking for additional cash in the amount of 50 % of remaining balance. Mike was informed arrangements were made through the corporate office of ASMC that I would not pay until delivery. After several phone calls Mike agreed to load our belongings. †My wife spoke directly to Mike and was advised he would be the driver delivering to relocation state so she left for a 492 mile trip in order to meet Mike on the 16 th, or 17th for delivery.†

After not hearing from ASMC on the 16th , 17th , 18th, we began attempting to contact Mike and customer service without any response from either, worry set in. We had to purchase bedding, kitchenware, and basic living essentials all unexpected expenses in order to survive an empty apartment. On the 19 th finally communication with the customer service representatives at ASMC, during the many conversations that followed we realized that customer service was just a large call center that absolutely had no knowledge about our move, the current location of our belongings or when we could expect our delivery. During one phone call a customer representative, Meta advised me that all she could do is call the dispatcher and simply relay inaccurate information back to me...... †so , on 2-20-19 we were told by customer representative, Rachael, we would receive our delivery within 1-2 days, on the 22th we were told 1-3 days, on the 25th we were told 3-4 days.†

With each delay, stress increases and so does our living expenses.†

I am posting this as it is happening in hopes I can prevent others from making our mistakes. As per this post we do not have our belongings, we have not heard from the company, and customer service is basically non responsive. We have absolutely no idea when we will receive our belongings.
Iím so happy I chose the right company. Thank you Priceline for making my move easy. I will recommend to anybody looking to move.

In the last two years I have actually moved twice and also both time I made use of U.S. Criterion Moving & Storage Space Corp. Above and also beyond the delight, I suffice to take the time to make a review. The rate they price estimate is the rate you pay. Not only this yet the person that helped me to establish up this relocation was valuable and also pleasant, they function hard, fast and thoroughly. All team participants are good, respectful and also comfy. Utilize these individuals honestly while the expense is likewise little bit less than of other companies.

My family had a splendid experience with Official Van Lines, and I strongly recommend them. They assisted in every way possible, relocating our household stuff from Edison, NJ to Chicago, Illinois, and made certain that the process proceeded as slickly as possible. The movers excellently cared for our things, demonstrated proper organization and were prompt in communication. Even when we enquired about the whereabouts of our consignment, Official Van Lines promptly communicated from their office.

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER and we've moved a lot!! IVL mixed up our short term delivery, required cash they never mentioned up front (who doesnít take a debit/credit card for thousands of dollars?), lost the last storage unit and tried to tell us we received everything until they finally located it, then it didnít arrive until 2 MONTHS later after they found it, lousy customer service throughout and never took us seriously, and lastly, they broke thousands of dollars worth of stuff and didnít reimburse us for anything - our $1500 patio table wasn't even unloaded from the truck because it was so damaged!!! Did I mention they refused to reimburse us for anything?? I canít express how bad this company is! We gave them every chance to make things right and they flat refused to do anything! For the $17,500 we paid, they did not even meet our very minimum expectations!!! RUN from IVL and don't look back!!

I would certainly provide this business negative celebrities if I could. First of all I booked this firm 3 months ahead of my move and also a week later I tried to cancel. They would not reimburse me any one of my $800 down payment regardless of being months far from the action as well as this costing them nothing, and also they gave me the run-around about a refund for a month. I remained with them since I did not have an option. Their vehicle which is Actually Joined Relocating that they broker for, maintained pushing the dates of my move till the last day I remained in my house per the lease agreement. At that factor I needed to take what they offered me. They brought an unweighed Uhaul, attempted to obtain me to sign an adjustment of estimate without a new estimate provided, and also claimed that my move was substantial. I had no home appliances, no couch, no table, just a queen bed mattress collection, some boxes (far less than I had initially told them for the estimate) and some shelfs. Ryan informed me they had overstated my move so there would certainly be no excess costs (he added 26 boxes), I just subtracted from the estimated action in both square video footage as well as weight. I was not over in weight, and since this is not my first cross country action I determined whatever just in case. I called Portal the 2nd that the movers refused to weigh or gauge the load for me ... no feedback. I called them to follow up ... no response. When the moving companies maintained pushing out the shipment date to almost my initial day of employment at my new task I called Gateway ... no action. When the moving companies ultimately came and asserted that my lots was an additional 700 by weight (and also they had inadvertently neglected to inform me that despite me calling them every day), and also I observed that they had not really considered the tons which their vehicle driver had actually made adjustments to the receipt which no longer matched my initial invoice, I called Entrance ... no feedback. I am a trainee ending up a PhD so I can identify and deal with Veterans at the VA for Alzheimer's illness. I earn less than 25,000 a year at my brand-new job in California, which if you reside in California is nothing, and also after all that speak about exactly how Tom is a Veteran, all I can say is the Veterans I know would certainly repent of the actions of this firm. I have actually heard absolutely nothing from Entrance even though I sent them an email verifying the relocating firm charged an overinflated price by the square foot, as well as had not billed me by weight as is proper for cross country steps as well as my contract. COnveniently my agreement went away on the day of delivery. I likewise offered the actual dimensions for my work, which I took just in situation the movers behaved shadily. Absolutely nothing, no response from them. I was overcharged on a move I already might not pay for but had to go through with due to the fact that they declined to return my down payment, and that loss would certainly have damaged me financially. Despite all of the good words from their sales, this is not white handwear cover distribution, and also they do not respect you or your things (a lot of which will certainly show up scratched as well as dented by the way).

I would certainly love it if you people would certainly deign to return one of my several calls and emails.

Owen gave us a quote via email, came to our home and confirmed this quote. We liked him and even though we had 3 quotes for less money we went with Owen as he seemed genuine. BOY was I wrong! We booked over a month prior to moving and as we were moving to the island and were aware it would be a two day move (load day 1 unload day 2). The week leading up to the move I was in touch with Owen confirming our appointment and what ferry to reserve so I reserved both of our vehicles on the 515am ferry Saturday morning which cost $17 each. Moving day arrives and we are all excited as we have just purchased our first home. The truck showed up 3 hours late. Upon arriving the 3 men walked through our home complaining and swearing (in front of my kids) about how much stuff we had (we purged since Owens original assessment) they tried to charge us $2300 more than the original quote as if this was no issue at all. When we took issue to this the movers instructed us to speak to Owen and while we got on the phone with him they left never to return. My family and I found ourselves and 830pm on a Friday night of the busiest moving weekend of the year stranded with all our belongings in our driveway and no movers or truck to put them in. WORST COMPANY EVER. Owen did nothing to fix the matter and blamed us for having to 'fire' his crew which I do not believe for one minute he actually did. Thankfully we were able to get a truck from DYSCO but not until 1am so myself, my husband and our two young daughters loaded the truck until 630am at which time we had to race to get the ferry. Both my husband and I have been in serious accidents causing us to both suffer from back injuries, the whole reason I hired movers was because we could not do it ourselves. There has been no contact since that day and Owen has not even apologized for the behaviour of his crew. This company took what should have been a very exciting time in our lives and turned it into the worst weekend of our lives. SO thanks for nothing Service Best moving! I would highly recommend you keep shopping if you are considering this company!
