They tripled my estimate and put me with movers who have a 1 star rating and are getting sued. They broke all my things and lied about every aspect of my move and UNITED did nothing even though they are well aware of what happened. Dear United Moving, you should have made things right, stealing people's money, especially when they don't have a lot is NEVER ok and its going to come back to you because I will NOT let this go. Every single response you have snet me regarding my complaints has been more lies and guess what side by side my inventory list was almost identical. You are ALL liars and cheaters and that will always come back around. This is not over.
We called many moving companies for quotes and United Relocation gave us by far the best price. US Movers (contracted packers) arrived on the earliest scheduled day and I was happy to hand the whole process to them. I am very grateful to Kevian (the packers driver in Dallas, TX) who said - now you can just take a break and we'll take care of everything. And they did. They packed all loose items, took apart and diligently wrapped all furniture (including the bolts, nuts, and washers), paintings and big frames, numbered each box and each article with a numeric sticker, re-taped all boxes and after they finished they cleaned up! Everything arrived to CA intact! They even moved my Makita drill set from the box on which I unambiguously wrote "drill" into a wheeled cooler which was much safer. Good thinking! Moti (the US Movers delivery driver in CA) had to navigate his semi-truck in reverse to get to my house on a pretty challenging dead end street with bunch of construction trucks parked along it. He saved me a lot of money by getting his 18 wheeler right next to my house. Many thanks, Moti! When I contacted Lisa in Customer Service with questions - the response was always prompt, courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this company and just want to say THANK YOU for making our big move from TX to CA easy and nice!
The estimated price they give you is not worth your items being lost, broken, and delivered almost 6 weeks after booking. I was charged an extra $700 (I only have a very small one-bedroom apartment full of goods) on top of the $1700 quote AFTER my goods had already been loaded up into the truck at pickup. I was never notified of the extra charges by the broker or the trucking company (was only told by my family who helped at pickup location). The customer service was rude and lacked any empathy when it came to discussing the move and services. I called multiple times, weekly, to check and see where my items were and when to expect delivery but was told every time that, "my items had legally 21 business days to be delivered and they didn't know exact location of my items". My couch is completely ruined, my dining room chairs and table are extremely scratched and scuffed, as well as miscellaneous items, such as photo frames and glasses, are all broken. When I asked the drivers about missing items at delivery, they told me that the items "weren't in the truck so had to have been in one of the boxes then" (which they were not). Upon delivery, one of the truck drivers even admitted that they would never have their belongings moved this way. I tried submitting a claim for the lost and damaged items but had to pay another $50 to submit the claim and was not guaranteed any sort of refund. I tried multiple avenues to contact a manager and was ignored and never acknowledged. I strongly advise against using this company!!

AWFUL. Do NOT go through this company. I would give a negative star if I could. They fail to disclose that they are only a broker & do not actually provide any moving services. They are sales people & will promise you the world to get your business then are MIA the second you pay them. There is literally NO concern for their customers once you pay them their split. They will send you the contract to e-sign while on the phone & make you pay before having a full chance to read the small print & will tell you they will be prompt, no hidden fees, they will be your only point of contact, "this is my personal cell" etc. This was the whole reason I went w/ them because they sounded honest & like they genuinely cared but I found out the TOTAL opposite-these people are CROOKS & I don’t know how they can sleep at night. I was never informed they aren't the actual movers so I was shocked when another company showed up at my door w/ a totally different name & informed of SEVERAL additional charges. Also, I was told the move could be completed in 1-2 days due to the short distance of the move(6 hrs), however this new company stated 3-14 days, which really means 21 days because apparently that is what they are allowed by law even though they claim 3-14 days & even state on their contract. Oh & this does not include weekends, they count standard business days even though they supposedly conduct business on weekends as a "courtesy" to their customers however, do not answer the phone or actually deliver nor count that towards the 3-14 or excuse me-21 days for delivery? So you are looking at a solid month for delivery. They have no care in the world for their customers even if it is causing them a hardship. An additional $350 charge TWICE for a shuttle truck if you are moving from one apartment complex to another because their 18-wheel truck does not fit, even if your belongings only take up a THIRD of the SHUTTLE truck & you do not require the large truck. They charge for every ft they have to carry items over 75 ft when hello-how would anyone know that when moving to a new apartment complex in a new state & have not been assigned their unit until move-in day? They also charge extra if you live on any floor other than the 1st. They make it seem like the move will be timely because they give you an early pickup date, however they fail to disclose is that the ACTUAL moving company tries to pack multiple moves together which results in them packing up your stuff to take it to a storage facility in the city you're moving from until they get multiple other moves to fill their truck. Additionally, they showed up 2 days earlier than promised so I was not prepared & was w/o a bed, TV, furniture, clothes, dishes etc. for a few days all for them to put my stuff in storage in the city I was moving from & take a month to even pack the truck to drive to the city I was moving to (which mind you was only 6 hrs away). When I called Brandon (who gave me his "personal" cell & even texted me after the initial call) I received a voicemail for a Chase at that number & the other person I spoke with-Cameron who only called to up the initial estimate was also MIA & even rejected my calls as they stopped ringing & went straight to voicemail after the 1st call. When I threatened to report them to the BBB “Brandon” or Chase sent me a generic “OMG I am looking into this right away!” then I NEVER heard back from him even after 3 additional emails were sent & multiple calls. Additionally, the company that finally delivered my stuff was a totally different company based out of L.A. so in total, there are 3 companies involved AKA getting a split of the profits which probably explains all the additional expenses. Oh & when the stuff was FINALLY delivered, there were several broken dishes. Some lessons are learned the hard way-I recommend either selling your stuff & starting new or disassembling your own furniture & renting a U-HAUL if this is standard for moving companies.
