Interstate move from Florida to Nashville, TN
I called the day before my move at 2pm to confirm what time a person was coming. I was informed send off would certainly call me in between 2pm - 6pm to allow me understand. Still not listening to from them at 5:30 pm, I recalled. The "gentleman" on the phone told me, oh yeah you were my following call. We had a vehicle break down and we aren't coming. I notified him I had paid extra to guarantee a person would exist a particular day in the early morning hrs. He didn't care. He wouldn't aid. He didn't use an additional date. Primarily I was told, they don't really come to my place a lot as well as they were just terminating. The truth that my lease was up the next day, the energies were being turned off in 14 hours, as well as I had to be on a trip in less than 24-hour implied absolutely nothing to him. He really did not use to assisting in anyhow besides supplying to return my deposit (which I would certainly receive in 5-10 service days). They had almost $1000 of my money that I wouldn't get back to offer to an additional firm, I survived an island not anywhere near the mainland, I really did not have a lease, an area to put my stuff, or in the middle of summer in 90+ level climate any type of electrical or water in 14 hours. This company is beyond amateur as well as do not care about the people they acquire with. If it does not function for them, they will simply not terminate. I genuinely believe if I had not recalled, they just would not have revealed up. I highly suggest you make use of one more company. I wouldn't trust this firm with anything.
Please never ever use Safeway in Orlando Florida. They are the worst scammers you will deal with. You will experience problems of overages on costs, many missing items and many broken items. The trouble is they use day laborers instead of professional movers. Do not be lulled into their .60 per pound insurance scam called movingclaims.net. Damages will be repaid for less than pennies on the dollar.
I really searched and searched for a reputable moving company for my families move from Seattle to Phoenix. The sales process was great, I really thought they answered all my questions and eased my concern. That was until moving day. When the movers arrived their package list was completely different than my list and the price DOUBLED. I spent quite a bit of the day trying to get ahold of my sales person Daniel, finally after a few hours I did, he said he would address and get back to me he never did. I then had to pull up my documentation for the ppl actually doing the moving and we came to an agreement. However because the list that was provided to them was so off they had to load the truck twice (and we even had to voluntarily leave stuff behind as it wouldn't fit.) Now the 2 movers were amazing, they worked from 10 am until 1am that night (this was mainly due to the fact they had to go unload the truck once and come back to reload the truck). We were told it would take 5 - 10 days for delivery of our stuff. This was important as we have 2 children 3 and under and wanted to get their life back to normal as soon as possible. Well a week into this they didn't know where our stuff was, they advised they had to take a detour in CA to drop off other items at different location and this lead to the delay. FINALLY after many many phone calls and crying to the team at Safeway our stuff arrived on November 3rd (the pick-up date was Oct. 19th so this was 15 days following pick-up). When the movers arrived they advised they needed a Money Order when everyone else I talked to said we needed a Cashiers Check and they refused to unload until I got the proper payment. I rushed to the bank, changed this and came back. They were very fast at unloading and did a good job of placing items where requested and putting things back together. As they were ready to go we realized my husbands bike was missing, after many many many phone calls we finally received this Dec. 23rd (and part of it was broken). As we began to unpack we realized some boxes were missing (most importantly our silverware) as well as they broke an antique cradle of ours. I submitted a claim to insurance (which is a huge headache of a process) and MONTHS later I finally get a note offering $68 for our items. Now mind you, we spent almost $10,000 for this move and there was damage/missing items of almost $1,000 which I proved was missing/broken and they offer $68. I feel completely insulted and disrespected from a company I've been dealing with now for almost a year. From the sales process where he didn't provide me OR the movers with the proper information then to the support staff who couldn't advise why our items were taking so long to now the claim for insurance, this company is not one that cares for the people they support or the people they move. I really wish I would have had more reviews outlining cross country moves by this company as I would have gone a different direction. I really hope they chose to make my claims right to try to make me somewhat whole from what they damaged/lost. But to be honest I really can not recommend this company at this time. **One note, the men who actually did the moving were great, very caring of the items/polite. However I was told they don't outsource which is incorrect.
This was the first time I have ever used a mover, I did not know what to exspect, I asked them about insurance and they told me it was included in the price, they would not load the truck until I paid them. They where supposed to put things together after they arrived at the new address, they unloaded every thing they had and took off. Tv stand screws missing tv stand distroyed anyway, curio cabinet distorted, computer desk distorted, coffee table damaged , $600 VACUUM cleaner missing, camcorder missing DVD player missing, family pictures damaged, family movies missing. Filed a claim they offered $74 if you ever hire a mover please check them out doint do what I did trust them, they do not give a dam about you or your belongings, remember the name safe way out of florida,I have over $3000 dollars worth of damage and missing PROPERTY, it is a big scam,
This is a good company, the customer service was good and my sales guy was always available the entire time. The day of my move my driver had a strong accent but never the less a great personality. He actually had us all laughing the whole time. I didn't take delivery right away because I used their free storage deal. and i got my goods actually 3 days before i was estimating to get it. i used companies before and they're a company I would use again.
This company did a good job overall. They came when they were supposed to and the salesman gave me a good estimate so that my cost was in line with what we discussed. My only reservation was the driver was about an hour late on delivery and was unapologetic when he arrived. The crew more than made up for it though, and overall the experience was good. I would use them again.
