A few red flags. 1. They claim to be accredited, but they're not registered on the GA licensure board for moving companies. Their depictive called me and also stated the workplace can email me a copy of their certificate, which I never obtained. www.gamccd.net/HGLicensedMovers.aspx 2. I had a consultation on Saturday for a quote. And I was stood. No person called or called by. The agent called me today, and a lot apologized, as well as I hesitantly provided another opportunity. He in fact told me that they intentionally overbook and choose the customers that will certainly pay one of the most. And also, today, I've been stood again !!! So, I seriously question their good reviews. If this is their idea of customer support, I suppose their employees write the evaluations for them. I would not lose your time or loan with this company. Nobody has time for this crap.
The movers were all very pleasant. They relocated quickly and successfully. We ran right into a couple of issues, however they dealt with every little thing well as well as exceeded & past to aid us.
Worst moving experience ever damaged my $3000 fridge connfronted them about it would not call back my fridge is also missing screws for handles so I canít even put the handless on they didnít move the whole house and I was told I was getting 5 men 2 trucks I got 1 truck and 3 guys who didnít seem interested in moving me just wanted to get hours stay away at all cost you can move yourself with less headache and not spending $2000 to do it
Mr. Bankhead and his team were Moving Angels that literally came to my rescue! I had recently relocated to Atlanta and initially moved into a home due to landlord issues needed to move out and complete the move in days. I originally booked a moving appointment with a man with Two Guys & a Truck. I had received a confirmation of the move, day, & time. Then at the time of our scheduled meeting they were a NO SHOW and did not cal, text, or email. I was left with only hours to complete the move on Friday, October 19, 2018. Mr. Bankhead happened to have returned my call from earlier when I was calling companies to find a same day moving replacement who would not take advantage of me with costs because I had limited funds available due to the landlord situation and needing to bear the burden of paying the deposit and expenses to move into a new place that same day. Mr. Bankhead, was very understanding of my situation.I explained to him that my previous scheduled appointment was a NO SHOW, I did not have any family here, and that I had been given a move out Deadline of 9pm. We spoke around 5:30pm on Friday and my strict move out deadline was 9:00pm Friday by the landlord. Literally, within moments of talking to him, he went to working to try to find someone from his team that was willing and available to do the move on a Friday evening in short notice. I was told that to get a same day move appointment could cost a fortune, then to find a company that would be willing to move you on a Friday evening would be even harder, and then to complete the move within minutes notice would be nearly impossible. I nearly lost all hope and wondered if I would loose all of my furniture and belongings. The landlord was unwilling to budge or to refund part of my deposit back to help me secure a new moving company to complete the move. In the meantime Mr. Bankhead, called back and informed me that he had found a team member that was willing to help him do my move!!! THIS WAS A MIRACLE! Mr. Bankhead, kept his word. Shortly, him and one of his team members showed up. They quickly and efficiently loaded up everything and transportef all of my belongings to the new place. They quickly and carefully moved everything. Mr. Bankhead even helped to decorate my new place by suggesting the best spots for things to utilize optimal space within my new townhome. In close, RMC movers were very timely, honest, and personable. Being a woman, I felt totally safe and secured in their hands. They gave me the best moving experience I have had! I was truly blessed by Mr. Bankhead and his company RMC movers coming to my rescue because they saved my life as my Moving Angels! THANK YOU MR. BANKHEAD! I was referred to Rmc Movers by my Mom and Sister who also used the same company when they moved. I was very pleased with the EXCELLENT service that I recieved from Rmc Movers and the owner Mr.Lamar Bankhead. They were very professional and courteous and got the job done in a timely manner.On my next move I will definently used them again as well as refer them to other of my family members and friends if they need a moving company.
***BEWARE*** I scheduled a move with RMC movers last week as the closing on our house was moved up and we had only a few days to move out. I had heard many horror stories involving moving companies but against their better advice I hired RMC due to their great reviews. That was the worst decision I could have made throughout this whole process. 1. After a great conversation with Carol in the office, I was assured she would be sending experienced movers with over 11 years of experience after reading another review mentioning inexperienced movers. The contract stated that they would be supplying 3 movers and they brought 4 movers instead but the team leader (Lamar) was very clearly the only experienced mover on this job. One mover stated that he had never even worked on a moving job before so the team leader was training him which slowed down the process and cost me more $$$. The 2 other movers also did not seem experienced as the team leader kept yelling at them for wrapping furniture incorrectly which again ended up costing me more time and MORE $$$ in redo work. The team leader mentioned that he had to bring a Uhaul truck since his other crew had the company truck on another job, I can only believe that this is the experienced crew that I was promised. If I knew I would not be getting the experienced crew, I would have NEVER chosen this company. 2. Inexperienced movers also led to broken furniture. Even more than the broken furniture was the general apathy towards my broken furniture. At one point, I noticed that the team leader had taken out glue and tried to glue a leg back to the dining room table without even consulting with me first!! When I asked what he was doing, I was told that the leg had came apart as if it was simply unscrewed but upon further inspection it was very clearly broken by his guys. He jokingly mentioned that he was not going to say anything to me at first and hoped that I would not notice. How would I not notice MY broken table?!?! He kept mentioning that itís not that bad and no one is going to look under the table to notice a broken table leg. He assured me that I would not even notice after it was glued back together. From the picture attached, anyone would be able to notice this broken table leg. I was originally told that the furniture would be disassembled and then individually wrapped which would have made it easier and safer to transport this table. The team leader opted to not disassemble and advised me to spend an extra $40 on boxes to help keep the furniture safe which still lead to broken pieces. He kept mentioning that it is not that big of a deal and I did not buy the full coverage insurance (which costs an extra $300 dollars by the way). That is an absurd amount for insurance, I would rather have used that $300 towards buying a brand new table than towards insurance which is what Iím going to do anyways without having to go through the hassle of insurance. In addition to the broken table leg, the glass from our china cabinet was also broken but he offered $60 off of the cost to replace the broken glass. They also unscrewed the door of the dining room cabinet and then lost the screws. The team leader told me I can replace the screws and screw it back on myself... isnít that what I am paying you for! I am not naive enough to believe that during a move nothing will end up scratched or possibly even broken but customers are spending their hard earned money for EXPERIENCED movers to treat their belongings with care. At the whopping cost of $160 PER HOUR (way more than some other moving companies), I deserve experienced guys or I could have just hired several inexperienced guys myself to do the job for less than half of what I paid. 3. We requested one living room set, a dining set, 3 dressers, a table, 2 refrigerators, washer/dryer and absolutely NO boxes to be moved 8 minutes down the road. I was told this would not take long but this job took 6 HOURS AND cost ALMOST $1000 ($960 to be exact) which is absolutely egregious!!! It took these guys over 4 hours just to wrap the furniture (again the team leader was the only experienced one and was wrapping very efficiently with nothing broken). It took the other 2 guys over an hour to do a shoddy job at wrapping just the dining room cabinet which still ended up broken. Basically inexperience lead to a higher cost and broken furniture. We have moved all of the same furniture on our own before with nothing broken. As the saying goes, donít expect others to care for your belongings as much as you. When our new home is ready I will most definitely NOT be giving RMC movers a call BUT LET THIS SERVE AS YOUR WARNING!!!
Mr.Bankhead and his amazing staff are simply the best!! He and his team are trustworthy, kind, and above all professional. I have trusted RMC movers twice now. Mr. Bankhead will always be my moving team. If you need trustworthy movers please do not hesitate and give him a call. He will have you yelling ďfish greaseĒ at the end.
I used RMC movers this past weekend. I can honestly say that I was very pleased with the service I received. I will definitely use them again. Ms. Carol and the staff were very professional. Thank you again RMC for everything.
Iíve used RMC Movers in the past and they are amazing. They are all very professional and efficient. I have used moving companies that have gone out of their way just to run up the time so my expectations for RMC werenít that high. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my move was completed with RMC. Iím preparing for a another move and when I called to schedule the appointment the owner remembered me and I think that was awesome because to me, it says a lot about how he pays attention to his customers. I donít remember the cost of my last move so i had to guess. I know that it was ridiculously reasonable and less than other quotes I had received.Hopefully this will be my last move for a very long time but I will be referring all my friends and family to RMC Movers!
Last minute move and RMC movers were able to accomadate me with no issues. Great group of guys they sent out for the move. Quick, and professional. If you are looking to move they will get you squared away no problem. Next move RMC will be contacted as well.
