They took 500 dallors from me and also my family by scheduling a filthy relocation as well as informed us after we left state that we don't obtain it back since we signed an agreement
BEWARE OF DIVINE MOVING GROUP. Their 5-star reviews are FAKE. Let me give you a brief rundown of how moving scams work. I wish I had known this before I booked my move. Divine Moving Group is just a broker. They have no trucks -- they simply act as the middle man and book another (generally disreputable) moving company for you. You may not even know who they booked with until they arrive, giving you no time to research the company. Your "deposit" is actually the broker's fee. If you're lucky, a moving truck will actually show up. After the truck is loaded, the moving company will tell you that you owe much more than your quoted price. At this point, you're at your most vulnerable and stressed. Your stuff is already on the truck, and they expect you to just agree to get it over with. Oh, you have a binding price with the broker, do you? Well, read the fine print. They are not responsible for extra fees charged by their contractors. The broker points their finger at the moving company, and the moving company points their finger at the broker, and neither one wants to help you. Remember that deposit that you thought was being applied towards your move? Well, it's not, since it's just a broker's fee. Subtract that from your total and you'll realize how suspiciously low the price is. And don't even get me started on the headache it will be to actually have your stuff delivered. Moving scams are known to hold people's possessions hostage until they agree to exorbitantly high prices. You don't want to find yourself in that position. protectyourmove.gov is a good resource to search for your mover and see how many complaints they've had in the past few years (spoiler alert, Divine Moving Group has had many!). movingscam.com is another great website to educate you about fraudulent movers. I'm so thankful that I realized what a scam this was. I cancelled my move with Divine Moving Group (the broker) and Quality Moving Services LLC (the moving company they hired) before they were able to scam me further. I may have lost my deposit (which they require you to make via e-check, so it can't be disputed, by the way) but it could have been much worse. Please let this serve as a warning to you. Do not use moving brokers, nearly all of them are scam artists. There is no need for a middle man; please book with the moving company yourself. Here are just a few of the red flags that Divine Moving Group exhibited: - Fake 5 star reviews on yelp. Click on those Yelper's names and see that they've reviewed other moving companies with the exact same wording. Also, a ton of those reviews were all posted on the same date in a batch, which is a telltale sign of fake reviews. - They were very responsive and professional until they got my deposit. Suddenly, they stopped answering phone calls or contacting me when they promised. Just the fact that I paid a deposit was a red flag - most reputable companies do not require this. - While charging by cubic feet is not necessarily illegal, it's a very sketchy practice, since it's hard to verify. Weight can be verified at a weigh station, but you pretty much have to take their word on cubic feet (even if they have tick marks inside the truck, the way it's loaded can make a huge difference). - They waffled back and forth about whether I'd have to pay a $250 shuttle fee or not, and never gave a clear answer. - Quality Moving Services LLC does not exist at the address given. - And the final, glaring red flag was this: Quality Moving Services LLC told me that they would deliver my things the same day, if I paid in CASH. Please, avoid this nightmare of a company.
Divine moving group was easy to deal with. I wasn't too flexible on my move date but they handled my move quite efficiently. After seeking moving company after moving company I thought I'd check into a company to handle everything for me. DMG took an inventory and beat the price of any estimate I got when I was researching. I will be using them again in 2 years when I move for business!
I (stupidly) paid a $700 deposit upfront. I was promised a 24-hour moving consultant. After the period for refund of deposit had elapsed (5 days) it was extremely difficult to get hold of anyone at the office. Phone calls and emails went unanswered. Communication in general was terrible. The 5-star reviews which had given me a false sense of security are, having dealt with them, completely implausible and likely to be fake. I eventually had to cancel and they refused to refund any of my deposit even though I gave almost 2 weeks notice. Compared to other moving companies their refund policy is inflexible and unfair. Avoid at all costs.
They helped me from beginning to the very end. I was very happy with their services. Their window of conception was accurate and the drivers were very polite. prices were very reasonable compared to other companies.. Everything that was quoted was included. I highly recommend them. Thank you for making my moving experience less stressful
Divine moving group was an absolute pleasure to work with! Cory Raven was extremely knowledgeable on the services and was very helpful, answering every question and concern that I had. They weren't the cheapest quote I got, but very reasonable considering the service they provided. And the quote I got was actually the price I ended up paying in the end, unlike my past experiences with other companies. The movers worked very quickly and carefully, and got my stuff from California to Florida in only 5 days. I highly recommend divine and I will definitely be using them again if I have to move in the future!
Divine Moving Group will call you repeatedly in attempts to get a down payment. Soon as the payment is made, communication with the SCAM company will cease. I have recordings from the company in which 2 different employees admitted to having UNETHICAL business practices, while still refusing to refund a deposit!!! This matter has been forced to small claims court. CUSTOMER BEWARE,YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
SCAM ALERT, THEY ARE BROKERS!! I was contacted by Rickey Page of Divine Moving who said he was the dispatch manager and that he had an empty truck in NJ and was looking for a load back to TN the weekend of my move. After doing some research on their company I called him back and asked about all the poor reviews I saw. He said they were Divine Moving in NY not Florida which has bad reviews. He said this happens all the time and they are not associated with the company in Daytona Beach. I then gave him the detailed contents of my storage unit in NJ and was given an estimate of $2965, he said it was discounted by 66.05% or 2.49 per cf. I e-sinned the contract and provided him a $500 deposit, a few days before the move date I received a call from Divine to have a cashierís check payable to Prestige Van Lines. I questioned this and was told they were the shuttle company since my storage facility couldn't accommodate a semi. I had traveled from TN to NJ for the move and was met by Prestige who immediately started to load their truck. About an hour into the move I was told they cannot do the move for the amount Divine quoted and told me the new price was $4941. I immediately called Divine and was told they would look into this and call me back. A few minutes I was called by a supervisor at Prestige who told said Divine does this all the time; they under bid a job just to get the $500 commission. And they would stop the move and put everything back into my unit. I had already given up my storage unit effective the following weekend and had no choice by to proceed with the move and pay the inflated amount. I was told by Prestige who did my move that Divine was located in Daytona Beach and that they would stop working with that company. Personally I believe Prestige Van Lines were in on the scam otherwise I would have been told before the move started the true cost of the move. The number for Divine Moving Group is 386-968-1921, so you donít fall for the SCAM as well.
This was the best Moving experience I have had yet in the 12 moves I have done in this country. I will be going with them again. Consistent, efficient and care about their customers.
After reviewing prices for my mom and sister move to chicago i discover that this company had the best price. I kept in touch with the rep about 30 days before the move, i emailed them a list of the items and i received this price. The service was great and arrived on time. Loaded and unloaded the house hold items orderly fashion. Highly recommended.
